The second edition of the Science on Stage festival was held in Grenoble, France, from 2 to 6 April 2007. The event intended to promote the very best of today’s science education. “Science on Stage” is organized by an International Steering Committee representing the seven members of the EIROforum and according to the official website, the festival program offers “teachers a unique opportunity to exchange teaching materials and ideas, through the combination of science teaching fair, on-stage activities and parallel sessions.”
STRAPLEX was also presented, exhibiting not only the project and information about the last flights but also a large emphasis was put on the ESA Balloon Campaign which will take place in September 2007. The session was very enthusiastic, motivating and it showed a strong support and interest on the student balloon campaign. Representatives from several European countries were present and ideas were successfully exchanged. Due to the great interaction between the audience and the STRAPLEX team, the predicted schedule was extended, giving then enough time for an open and lively discussion about STRAPLEX, its activities and future possibilities. |
